I'm Stephanie, and last summer I had a life changing experience.

I finally gave in to the realization that I had come to years ago; that life is precious, short, and only what you make of it. I quit my retail job and moved out into the woods.

Since June of '07 my fiance Aaron and I have been living in our tipi at the beautiful Trailhead Bed & Breakfast in Trout Lake, Washington.
The view is simply amazing.

Here we have been able to relax in the peace surrounding us and become closer to nature, and therefore closer to ourselves, and each other. By living free all Summer, I have had the time and presence of mind to work on various projects, and to do things that I have always wanted to do.
I am currently creating a cartoon, I'm free to sketch and paint as I wish, I make jewelry, and I'm learning how to play the guitar.
Aaron has had the chance to hone his longbow skills, and do the carving and Native American crafts that he's always enjoyed but never had the time to focus on. The most impactful part of this new life is how much richer we feel spiritually, as living close to the Earth has allowed us to see things more clearly.

Now here it is, 2008 already and we can't seem to abandon this simpler lifestyle that we've become attached to. Winter was fast approaching, and our toes become chilly, it didn't take long to decide that we can't stay in the tipi past November. At least not in a place where the snow drifts are taller than me.

So the plan was hatched:

We will buy a used school bus, paint it blue, convert it to BioDiesel, and turn it into a mobile hippie house or "skoolie".
We will strap our tipi poles to the top, trim all our possessions down to essentials, and just live.
This way we can reduce our impact on the Earth, and reduce the environment's impact on us.

In the Blue Bus we will travel around to warmer climates to rockhound for crystals and gems. We will then sell jewelry, precious stones, handmade furniture and crafts at gem and mineral shows and trade and barter faires.
All the while having awesome adventures seeing all the things we've always wanted to see, taking tons of pictures and video along the way.

Our travels will be documented with regular YouTube video installments so we can share our vision with like minded people.
